Entry Requirements

Successful completion of Associate Degree of Theology and Ministry or equivalent.

English Proficiency

Applicants whose entry qualifications were obtained in an institution where English is not the language of instruction normally require a minimum IELTS (or equivalent) score of 6.0 with no score less than 5.5 in all bands of the test. A student can be admitted provisionally into the Associate Degree of Theology and Ministry when they have an IELTS result of 6.0 with no score less than 5.5 in all bands of the test.

Future Pathways

Students with the Bachelor of Arts (Music & Worship) may continue on to the Master of Leadership or Master of Arts.

Learn the basics of pastoral ministry in the local church setting. This unit includes elements of both theory and practice, and guest lectures from the Planetshakers Pastoral team. Students will learn the structures, processes, strategies, and philosophy of ministry necessary for 21st century pastoral ministry in a growing Church, and will be invited to reflect on their own emerging ministry practice. This unit provides a solid foundation for vocational ministry.

In this unit we look at John’s gospel and the three Johannine epistles, where we receive an intimate perspective on the life of Christ and its personal impact on our lives. Within the fourth gospel we find some of the most profound theological statements concerning the person of Christ. The opening chapters tell of the logos, the Word who became flesh, God among us. These bold statements are echoed in the words of Jesus Himself, proclaiming His divinity with the “I Am” statements.

This unit is all about the Holy Spirit. Who He is and what He does.. It involves theological readings and Biblical study to articulate and defend a Pentecostal theology of the Holy Spirit, but more importantly a significant portion of the class time is devoted to practice: waiting on God and participating in the move of the Spirit. Expect signs and wonders. Expect to prophesy. Expect to be filled. Expect to be hungry. Anything can happen!

Is the second of two serving subjects and expands upon Supervised Ministry 1. This unit places our students in the activity of their local church. It enables them to volunteer one day a week as part of their internship and develop the skills needed to best serve your church. This subject formalizes the internship aspect of their Associate Degree and keeps their work practical. Serving for this subject may include; pastoral care; creative ministry; youth ministry; kids ministry; church conferences or anything that your church has a need for.
