Don’t Matter! – Jesus Over All!

Life is full of ups and downs, and we all face challenges. But amidst the trials, there is a resilience in our faith that assures us that no matter what we face, our God is sovereign. He is the Lord of our lives, bringing miracles and victories that we can rely on.

Sermon Notes
Finding Peace in Jesus

When we confront difficult situations, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. However, we must remember that Jesus is victorious. This victory means we don’t need to stress or worry; we can find comfort in knowing that we are victorious in Him. Regardless of the circumstances—the lies the enemy tries to sow into our hearts or the sins that ensnare us—Jesus reigns over it all. Jesus is ready to bring breakthroughs, healing, and hope into our lives. We should cultivate resilience in our faith, believing that God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. We can trust that He will comfort us, heal us, and guide us in our times of need.

A Memorable Inspiration

Interestingly, the title "Don’t Matter: Jesus Over All" was inspired by a meme that emerges during NBA playoffs. When fans rally behind their teams, there’s often a playful dismissal of the competition with memes declaring, “It doesn’t matter; [Team Name] is winning!”. In the same way, we can declare that despite the challenges we face, “It doesn’t matter; Jesus is over it all.” This victorious mindset is key to overcoming adversity. We have abundant victory over every lie and every distraction.

The Power of Team Jesus

Just as being part of a great sports team brings joy and a sense of purpose, being part of Team Jesus empowers us to pursue our best selves. When we acknowledge that we’re on this victorious team, we can shift our focus from personal performance to the collective goal of glorifying God.

Sometimes, we struggle with feeling unworthy or inadequate, but we must remember that our identity is found in Jesus. He has already secured our victory, so we can contribute wholeheartedly to the mission He has set before us.

Living in Faith

Scripture reminds us that faith is powerful. In Matthew 8, we read about a centurion who believed that Jesus could heal his servant simply by saying the word. This story illustrates that our belief in God’s promises is crucial. As we believe and hold onto His word, we will see His promises manifest in our lives.

Many of us may be struggling with unbelief. But like the centurion, we can cry out, “Help me with my unbelief!” Let’s not allow the distractions of this world to cloud our faith. Instead, let’s stand firm on the promises of God, knowing that He has called us to victory.

A Call to Action

Now is the time to embrace the dreams and visions God has for us. Acts 2:17 tells us that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit upon all mankind. This promise is not just for the past; it is for us today. God wants to fill our hearts with dreams and visions that align with His purpose.

Let go of past disappointments and fears. Trust in the promise that God’s plan is to prosper you, not to harm you. As we step into our calling and obey His direction, we will experience the fullness of life He has for us.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as we move forward, help us to come into agreement with Your truth. Jesus is over it all. You want to heal our hearts, renew our spirits, and lead us to a place of victory. Help us to remember that whatever we are facing, we are on Team Jesus, and with Him, we are always poised to win.

Amen.
