Week 2! Now, we start looking at what God says about us. What He thinks about us is more important than what we think about us—and needs to become what we build our lives upon. So... At the very foundation of what we think about ourselves, we have to know & believe the truth that we are created in God's image. This is huge! It forms the right foundation for us to see everything else. You did not appear on Planet Earth by chance. You were imagined, designed and put together by God and for God... in His image. When you believe this, it changes the way you see yourself and the people around you. If I had a kid who looked exactly like me but hated themself, it would be offensive to me because they carry my likeness. We should be careful what we think about ourselves and the way we treat others...we all carry God's image. You carry dignity, value, beauty and honour as a human being. You are not less or more than anybody else because of where you come from or the colour of your skin or how much money you have. Nobody is worthless or here for no reason. We are not animals or just chemicals that evolved... we carry the very imprint of the Divine and that alone makes us valauble. Let this truth sink in deep into your heart again today, and let it determine the way you think about yourself more than the words of others or any negative experiences in your life. The foundation of the way I see myself is that I am made in God's image.
