Devotion

Growing closer and closer with God will always lead to victory in our lives. If you run towards Him, you run towards victory!

Remember, God desires a real, daily relationship with you. He doesn’t want some distant friendship or for you to just visit Him on Sundays at church. He wants you to know Him more and more, and draw closer and closer. The more we know Him, the more His influence rubs-off on our lives and we change to become more like Him in the way that we think and the things that we do. That won’t lead us to more brokenness or to a boring life, but to victory!

Growing in our relationship with God doesn’t just happen by chance. It happens when we play our part in seeking Him and drawing close to Him. So why not make a decision to do that today?
Ask yourself this question: What is it that I want more than anything in my life right now? Whatever the answer may be, why not make KNOWING God the number one priority above everything else? And while you’re at it, make a renewed commitment that this is what your whole life is going to be about! You won’t be disappointed.

The Bible promises that God draws near to us as we draw near to Him. He is waiting to be found and to be known by you, so go ahead and draw near! After reading the scriptures, try putting on some worship music and spend some time praying and seeking God today!

Scripture

1 John 4:8 NLT
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Jeremiah 29:13 NLT
If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT
And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
