Scripture
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?.
Devotion
God wants you to live under His Light and not the darkness of a situation. Let us live under the light of who our God is. He is our healer, our redeemer, our freedom, and our joy. In the year of acceleration, He wants to bring light to your situation like never before. The Bible says that He is also our salvation. Salvation means liberty, deliverance, prosperity, a place of safety and welfare. So, God is our light, our safety, our protection; the One that brings prosperity to any situation.
Be encouraged that God has the best things ahead for you today. He has new mercies and more breakthrough for you today. As we come in faith today in great expectation of what God wants to do, we come to realise that there is nothing to fear. He is my light and salvation, so whom shall I fear? (Psalm 27:1a) Let us declare that, “I am not going to live in fear of what the future holds. I’m going to put my trust in God. He is my light and salvation.”
Further in that Bible Scripture, it continues to say that the Lord is the strength of my life, whom should I be afraid? Strength means strong, fortress, rock, a place of safety, harbor, a stronghold, a refuge. Our God wants to be our stronghold and strength. Today as we make Him bigger than any situation that we face, God steps in and becomes our light and salvation; becoming our strength. God is on our side so there is nothing to fear. The Bible says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). Another Bible Scripture says, “Greater is He who is in you, than what you face” (1 John 4:4; emphasis added). The Bible also says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”. It doesn’t matter what troubles or challenges come your way, that circumstance cannot prosper because God is bigger than any situation. Let us then be the light to the world, let us bring God’s salvation and His hope to the world. Let’s walk in His strength and help strengthen others. As we do that, we will experience a year of acceleration.
Prayer
Dear Jesus,
I agree that You are greater than sickness or physical ailment that I might experience and because of that, I reach out to You now for my healing. I ask that my entire body would be made whole and that I would experience the healing that You have already paid a price for with Your death on the cross and resurrection.
I pray all this in the mighty Name of Jesus.
Amen.
