And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Let’s break this verse down and define some of the terms within it.
‘Supply’ means “to fill up, supply liberally or furnish”, and ‘need’ is defined as “a lack of necessities in life”. So in this scripture, we are promised that our God will supply (fill up, supply liberally or furnish) ALL our needs (lack of necessities in life) according to His riches in glory!
OUR God will supply ALL our needs according to His riches in Glory!
There is a limitless supply of abundance, resource, healing, blessing and freedom that can be found in God. This means that no matter what situation we face here on Earth, there is never a lack of supply and we can always find the freedom we need in God. However, it is important to remember that our abilities, talents and jobs are not the true sources of our supply; we have access to a supernatural supply from God. Once we have this revelation within our heart, we can fixate our eyes upon Jesus and trust in Him completely.
Notice that the verse above says “MY God”. God is a personal God. He is close and personal to you. He is not a faraway God that is out of reach, but someone who is close to your heart who you have full access to. We are His beloved ones—His sons and daughters—and it is our inheritance to have access to His supply. This means that God takes care of ALL of our needs and we do not need to be anxious or worried about anything in life.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
God’s Supply System
There are supply systems in our lives that enable us to carry out our daily activities with ease. For example, our food comes from farmers who send their produce to a warehouse that then supplies a grocery store. That is a very simplified version of it, but what about God’s system of supply that comes from the Kingdom of Heaven?
And he showed me a [a]pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
We can see that God’s supply is symbolised as a river that runs from the Throne of Grace, for the healing of the nations. So, God’s supply system originates from His throne room which is where we can access all of the supplies we need.
God’s supply system originates from His throne room which is where we can access all of the supplies we need.
What does the Throne Room signify? It is a place that is ornate, bejewelled and contains God’s riches and glory. It is where Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father and a place that is overflowing with His holiness. God’s provision is waiting there for us today! All we have to do is humble ourselves and ask God for it, and He SHALL supply. It is not a ‘might’ or ‘maybe’, but as we read earlier in Philippians 4:19, He says that He ‘SHALL’ supply.
Clearing Away the Blockages
Let’s talk about the process of receiving the supply that God has for us.
We know that God wants to supply all of our needs according to His riches and glory, but at times we are unable to receive the flow of supply because things or circumstances in our lives are blocking our access to it.
Take this as an example: Our heart pumps blood all around our bodies through a network of arteries and blood vessels. When an artery is blocked, it prevents blood (and nutrients) from flowing to where it is critically needed in the body.
What blockages in your life are preventing the flow of God's supply? Could it be hurt, unforgiveness, unbelief, fear or holding onto things that are not from God? Our heart health is determined by what we eat and is crucial for keeping a constant flow of blood throughout our body. What are you eating spiritually that might be blocking your arteries? What have you allowed in your life that has blocked your access to God’s supernatural supply line?
If you had a blocked artery in the natural, you would need to submit yourself to a surgeon and trust him or her to clear out that artery as quickly as possible. Your life would depend on it! It is the same in the spiritual. Whatever it may be that seems to be hindering you from receiving God’s blessing fully, get rid of it by trusting God and surrendering those things to Him daily. His mercies are new every morning.
It is so important to keep our heart in check and constantly submit our lives to the Master Surgeon completely— allowing Him to work within us. We need to clear out the junk that is blocking our supply lines by getting into God’s Word, spending time in His Presence, encouraging each other to do good works and being an active participant in our local church and small groups.Be Thankful
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Stay Knitted Together
from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
In order for a supply system to function, it needs a pipeline or supply chain. What does this look like in the context of a church? The whole purpose for us to be knitted together with others in God’s family is so that every joint (individual) could receive supply and in turn, help to supply the rest of the body of Christ. We are joined together in unity so that supply and blessings can flow TO us and THROUGH us to others. However, the problem is that so many Christians are disjointed or dislocated from the family of God. When we are joined together tightly (knitted) in relationship and purpose, blessings, love and joy flow freely! Any break in the supply chain hinders or stops the flow of supply to those areas.
The Bible says in Psalm 133, that the anointing flows from the head right down to the corners of the robe. Unity allows the anointing and the grace of God to flow freely and touch even the furthest parts of the family. Where there is unity, God commands a blessing.

Expand your Pipelines
The extent of our supply is determined by the diameter and length of our supply lines. If the pipes and joints are small in diameter, the supply that flows through is restricted and reduced. We need to enlarge and expand our pipelines. The larger the pipe, the greater the flow and the more accelerated the blessing.
Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.
Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.
Stretching is not easy. Going to another level is not easy, but worth it, because it brings acceleration in our lives. Expansion is not easy but the fruit is exponential. This fruit comes when we step up and choose to not shrink back!
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.
God wants to release His supply so that He is exalted and receives all of the glory. It is about the One Name that is above every name. The One who is all supreme and all-powerful. Jesus IS the supply line and source. He is the key. When we come together with thanksgiving, stretching beyond anywhere we have gone before, we release His supply all over the Earth! He can do immeasurably more than we could dare ask or think, according to His power that is at work within us!
Let’s pray that we all increase our pipelines of supply! God's Throne Room is our supply source. Let’s get rid of any blockages to accessing His supply by trusting and submitting to God. When we come with thanksgiving, by supplication and prayer, and stay knitted together in unity, our pipelines will begin to expand and join together to bring accelerated blessing not only in our own lives, but in the lives of the entire family of God!
