This is The Victory
This week’s sermon explores how Christians can experience victory by walking in faith. It highlights the importance of believing in and speaking God’s promises, standing firm on the law of faith, and patiently trusting God for His timing in fulfilling His promises.
Victory in life often feels elusive. But for those who follow Christ, victory is not a distant hope; it is a present reality. In this message, we will uncover the true meaning of victory through the powerful practice of faith – a faith that is not just a feeling, but a daily commitment to believe and speak God's promises into our lives.
In 2 Corinthians 5:7, the Apostle Paul tells us that “we walk by faith, not by sight.” Walking by faith means aligning our life to God’s promises, even when circumstances seem contradictory. It is not about blind optimism but choosing to trust God's Word above our own understanding. The journey begins by making a conscious decision to rely on His promises.
Many Christians mistake faith for trust, but they are different. Trust is crucial, but faith goes beyond it. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is the assurance that God's Word will come to pass, even when we cannot see it. This assurance builds our confidence to speak His truth boldly into our situations.
In 2 Corinthians 4:13, we are reminded that, “we believe and therefore we speak.” Faith is not a passive belief but an active confession. It’s about declaring God’s Word over our lives daily, even when faced with challenges. The more we declare His promises, the stronger our faith grows, and we begin to see victory unfold in our lives.
Romans 10:17 teaches that faith comes by hearing God’s Word. Faith operates like a law—unaffected by circumstances or personal conditions. Just as gravity works consistently for everyone, God’s law of faith works for all who believe. The key is to stand firm in His promises and patiently trust that they will manifest in His perfect time.
Victory is not a far-off concept for Christians; it’s a part of our inheritance. Through faith and patience, we possess the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12). By believing and speaking His Word over our lives, we activate the victory He has already secured for us. Keep declaring God's promises, and victory will become a natural part of your walk in faith.
thank You for the gift of faith. Help us to walk by faith daily, trusting in Your promises and declaring them over our lives. Strengthen our belief and guide our speech, so we can live in the victory You have already provided.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
